4:00pm–6:30pm
Marquette Food Co-op 502 W. Washington St., Marquette, Michigan 49855
Marquette! I can’t wait to meet you! Join me for a super fun evening filled with hands-on pasta learning and a light pasta meal. In this class we’ll make a quintessential pasta dough with flour, eggs, our hands and matarello (rolling pin). This is OLD SCHOOL. Nonna style. Not many people do it anymore and I’m so excited to share it with you.
I’ll give you a brief overview of flour & egg pastas, where they come from and their characteristics. You’ll then each mix your own dough and I’ll show you how to roll it out. You’ll then make two traditional shapes : Garganelli and Farfalle.
Complimentary snacks will be ready for you–it’s hard to cook on an empty stomach!
Be prepared to get a little messy! You’ll be using two of the very best kitchen tools…your hands! Don’t worry–aprons are provided. You’ll be on your feet most of the class so comfy shoes are encouraged.
All sales are final and non-refundable. Should you not be able to make it you can transfer your ticket to a friend. Please email me 24 hr in advance to change the ticket name. I appreciate you and your support of my small business!
Age : I recommend my classes for ages 14 and up, with ages 14 to 17 being accompanied by an adult (each person will need their own ticket).
Allergens : Wheat, Dairy, Egg
*I have not perfected a gluten-free recipe yet, but I will share tips with you on how to lower the gluten content in your pasta dough if you’re interested!
